Movie Review: Captain America: Civil War

An enjoyable film that juggles multiple characters and provides amazing action, but is hurt by a somewhat flimsy payoff. Like the first “Avengers” movie, every major character gets their chance to shine. Not only that, their personalities that have been established over the course of the many Marvel films makes their motivations logical based on the circumstances. Even the newly added Black Panther and Spider-Man work for the story and don’t feel shoehorned in. Both are great additions and will win over fans as they prepare for their own solo films. The action is well done and the stunt work and CGI blend perfectly, with the exception of a few moments. The much-hyped airport battle royal is pure joy to watch. Everyone gets a moment in the spotlight, and uses their abilities creatively. The villainous Helmut Zemo appears to be an important piece of the puzzle, but in the end his presence proves to be unnecessary.
